This process involves baking the part for up to an hour to drive out any oils used in the manufacturing process and trapped air. Oils are more commonly used in the manufacture of Cast Iron or Cast Aluminium. Some metals can not be acid stripped, such as Magnesium, as the metal has the potential to dissolve with the acid.
We offer Acid stripping from £10 a piece depending on the size of the part. We recommend using our Blasting service as well to remove any last bits that the acid can't reach or break through.

We currently blast plastics for local businesses to give them the surface prep they require prior to painting. This allows better adhesion to troublesome plastics that are not usually painted from factory.
We adjust the strength of the blasting to match the material being treated. This enables us to only blast away what is necessary.

Powder Coating can be applied to various types of material. Metal is the most common but you can also powder coat some woods, plastics, composites, glass and MDF.
Most plastics melt when subjected to 200°C for any length of time, so it's important to research your material prior to getting it coated.
Powder Types EPOXY - These types of powders are very impact resistant and are used when corrosion prevention and adhesion is needed the most. POLYESTER (Urethane and TGIC)- These are the most common powders. ACRYLIC his is mainly used for clear coats.

You can choose from a matte finish, satin finish, gloss finish, vein and wrinkle finishes for texture and grip. There are even powder finishes available that can give a metal effect to really set off your part. We stock a large range of the more popular RAL and BS colours. If you require a colour or special effect (such as textured finishes) we can get these ordered in especially for your pieces.
